PROFILE

Born in Kyoto, Japan, Aya began to speak a word and sing at the same time.
She began to take a music class at the age of three.
She set a challenge for her as a multi-performer from being a solo singer to a member of local big band throughout her school years.
In 2009, as soon as she met with a guiterist, Jo Yamanaka, they started to produce and sing a original song.
Their first collaborative single, "Mahalo-Arigato," originally created for the Kansas City Japan festival gained great applause in both the U.S. and Japan.
Today, Aya's soul and passion fills the live show, the radio waves, and tv performances. Not only in Japan, Aya has performed in many Japan festivals in the US and has also frequently visited the Republic of Haiti to entertain members of the Japan Self-Defense Force, dispatched to provide international relief activities after the 2010 earthquake and also visited children’s orphanages to share her songs and support. Following her second album, Aya started to record all of her songs at a studio in Branson, Missouri, with music arranged and performed by the very finest musicians of Branson, Missouri. As a result, a new genre of Music was created, named “J-Country”
